ANNOUNCEMENT (As of 3/11/2021):

After nearly 9 years of helping to build our successful business, founding partner, Dave Hartshorn, is selling his shares to remaining partners, John and Ted Farr, and moving on from Green Mountain Harvest to the next adventure.

We are very thankful and grateful for all that Dave brought to the business. With a 30+ year background as a commercial organic produce grower, his plant growing expertise was invaluable.

Dave's work ethic is like nobody else we've ever known. He can accomplish as much as 2 people in the time it takes just him to do the tasks. We will never know how he was able to get up in the middle of the night for all of these years to harvest and pack produce and then go on to work a long grueling day on his organic farm. Dave also drove our delivery truck to many of the Vermont stores each week.

Dave is an experienced and articulate spokesperson, and did a lot to promote our brand and business. He also has marketing savvy.

Perhaps most importantly, he was responsible for securing 99% of our accounts in Vermont and outside of the state. In particular, he and his life partner, Amy, met the Whole Foods buyers at a Boston Food Show soon after we opened our doors, and played a primary role in our ability to secure that account, which has been a gamechanger for the company.

We also want to thank Amy Todisco, who devoted 100's of volunteer hours to making this business successful. From leading weekly partner meetings and bringing in experts for advice; to creating the website, taking pictures and video; to the creation of the Facebook business page; promoting and educating people about the business and hydroponic growing in general to hundreds of people through her unique food and farm tours; and always looking for ways to improve things, her help has been so important.

We wish Dave and Amy well.
